Big 12 Champions and Playoff Bound
The Texas Longhorns are Big 12 Champions and are headed to the playoff.
I’ve been saying they’re playoff bound for weeks, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t get really nervous somewhere between Burleson and Hillsboro on I-35W minutes before the announcement. I almost had to pull over on the shoulder of the highway because they hands were shaking…
MAN DIES ON I-35W AFTER BEING REAR-ENDED WATCHING THE CFP SELECTION SHOW.
What a way to go that would have been.
I personally would have preferred Pasadena because the Rose Bowl is my favorite sports venue on the planet, but I’m certainly not going to pick nits during their first-ever playoff run.
New Orleans is a great consolation prize.
I’ll be back later in the month for a full preview of not only this game but the Rose Bowl semi-final matching Michigan and Alabama for the right to play Texas in Houston, but I will say I feel great anytime you give Steve Sarkisian a month to scheme another team.
And I’m sure others in the building are scouting the hell out of Michigan and to a lesser extent Alabama as well, since we did that work already.
Enjoy it, Texas fans. These next few weeks are going to be fun as hell.
